Registered Member MBACP (Accred)

I am a humanistic counsellor, which means I will encourage you to explore your feelings, your values and your place in the world.  This style of counselling can be described as holistic, meaning that I look at each person as a whole. At the heart of my approach is the value I place in the relationship between client and counsellor - between you and I.

Having gained a Graduate Certificate in Counselling Skills from the University of Salford, I completed my Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling at York St John University following which I became a Registered and Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).

Whilst my specialism is in working with young adults, I have counselling experience in the following areas:

~working with young children in a primary school setting using play and art therapy
~providing short term counselling to young adults in colleges and universities
~providing short and long term counselling to adults within the NHS
~working with self-referred adults (18+) in private practice
~providing solution focused brief therapy for EAP contracts
~working on a long term basis with female clients in a women-only counselling service
~working with adult couples in private practice

Alongside my private practice in Sheffield and Doncaster, I am currently providing counselling to young adults at a Higher Education College in Leeds and a Further Education University in Sheffield.
